How to Prevent Sports Injuries
It’s easy to become injured while playing a sport and being active. In order to prevent a sports injury, it’s important to follow some simple steps.
Prevention Tips
All athletes should wear gear that fits tight and is appropriate for the sport they are playing. It’s always important to stretch and strengthen your muscles beforehand in order to increase flexibility. Take breaks when feeling exhausted or in pain, warm-up and cool down. You can also prevent sports injuries by avoiding bending limbs too far, keeping feet flat while running, knees bent while jumping and build up your workout gradually. Rather than work one muscle, it’s important to aim for a full body workout.
What Are Some Common Sports Injuries?
Sports injuries include, but are not limited to, strains and sprains, swollen muscles, fractures, broken bones, dislocations and tendon injuries.
